WOW ! Where do I even start about this company. Thier work ethic and knowledge is incredible. These guys love what they do and it shows in thier attitudes and teamwork. I've watched Chris the owner of CKR drive six hours from his home in florida to get here in the morning put on his tool belt and get to work with his team. It's 96 degrees with a 100% humidity, 114 heat index and these guys don't stop. Walking around with jugs of water and sweating like crazy. I watched chris checking on his men to insure thier safety and they worked until 8pm. This is what makes America great. I thought the American workmanship was dead but CKR proved me wrong. Thier knowledge, workmanship and prices make them the top solar company in the country. Chris, thank you for you and your men for what you do and how you treat your costumers. THANK YOU, David fant Dothan alabama

Chris was able to get my solar system up and running over the phone. He could have easily sent a technician out to service the system, instead he walked me through the reset process and saved me hundreds of dollars. That's real customer service. I appreciate that very much . I will definitely use CKR Solar again.

This company is fantastic. I had them install a full solar set up for my barn and I couldn’t be happier. I knew nothing about solar power and Chris spent a lot of time understanding what my power needs were and creating the perfect system. Chris kept me informed during the entire installation and they had it installed in no time. Works great and no monthly power bill!!!

If you want to work a trusted solar company look no further than I had another company well known in the Tampa area. Without going up on the roof they said 38 panels it will take care of 98% of you electricity for 65,000. Chris came out looked at our house and said. I’m sorry but I can’t sell you solar because with the amount of shade on your roof at what is peak times of the day would be like a drop in the ocean. Then Chris then told me if some electrical savings I could do these were products and services that his company didn’t sell. And he followed up with an email with details on what we had talked about. Ever heard actions speak louder than words. Thanks Chris for giving us sound advise

CKR Solar installed a Span smart panel, car charger, and Franklin WH backup battery in my 1956 home in Miami (290 miles away). Chris was always available to answer my questions by phone. Linden took care of all the permits and paperwork. And, the installation team did an amazing job. Thanks, Kelly, Adrian, Veda, and Wes!

Very happy with the decision to do solar with CKR. They were really quick and installed the qcell panels in <6 weeks! The permitting took some time after that but they stuck with it and handled everything. Now at full function, the panels are exceeding expectations for production and for energy savings. Appreciated having a direct contact with Chris and no need to navigate AI communications or complicated answering services. Highly recommend CKR for anyone looking to install solar.

Five stars -- couldn't be happier with CKR Solar.
From start to finish, CKR Solar was professional, communicative, and fairly priced. They walked me through the entire process, kept me informed at every step, and made what could have been a stressful situation completely seamless.
A special shoutout to the team that made it happen: Chris with his expertise, and Adrian handled the installation with skill and professionalism, and Linden was fantastic on the communication side, keeping me up to date on all the equipment and delivery timelines throughout the entire process.
What really stood out was their technical expertise. They identified a faulty inverter and got it warrantied out through SolarEdge, and also caught that my Tesla gateway wasn't functioning properly and got that warrantied out as well. I never would have known about either issue without them.
Quick, affordable, and highly professional. If you need solar service or repairs, look no further. Highly recommend.

I would give them 10 stars if it let me. Big thanks to all the staff from the owner, the office manager, and the installers.

My solar journey started back in 2016 with Chris Rollitt as my consultant, and he immediately felt like a trusted friend. Back then, battery backups were still cutting-edge and I wasn't ready to take the plunge.

Fast forward to recent years, and residential technology has evolved immensely. Chris launched his own company, CKR Solar, bringing that same core honesty and integrity alongside expanded technology and years of field experience. When I finally decided to look into adding a battery component to my setup, I naturally turned back to Chris.

CKR Solar integrated additional solar panels and two Tesla Powerwall 3s, all tied together with a cutting-edge SPAN smart breaker system. For my household, this investment means absolute security during a grid collapse or a major Florida hurricane. We live within the city limits and are required to stay grid-tied, but since the installation, our electric bill has never been more than the baseline connection fee.

CKR Solar didn't just deliver a great solution; their workmanship is second to none. Their support is top-notch, the customer liaisons are prompt and personable, and the system seamlessly integrates our high-functioning legacy panels with the new super-efficient technology. I highly recommend Chris and the CKR team to anyone looking for a reliable, expert solar installer in Florida.

A company with genuine passion for the solar power industry. I worked with Chris for months on my project from inception, design, to install and he walked me through every facet of it with detail. I live in a three-story Townhome and was unsure if the job was even possible. CLR made it happen. I have net metering now and the impact is significant with cost of fuel and power higher than I ever anticipated. The system includes the solar array, battery back up and Span panel. CLR also put on a new roof with solar ready shingles. Superb job. Thank you Chris!

Chris was absolutely outstanding to work with. He helped me install and program my SPAN smart panel, and the entire experience was excellent from beginning to end. He is highly skilled, professional, and clearly knows his trade very well. Everything was installed correctly, programmed perfectly, and tested to make sure it was working exactly as it should.

What really stood out was his honesty and willingness to help. He gave me great advice about the electrical work I had already done and pointed me in the right direction on other things I should know. That kind of knowledge and guidance is priceless.

Chris was also very responsive and communicated quickly every time I reached out. He showed up on time, worked efficiently, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. On top of that, his pricing was very fair and worth every dollar for the quality of service he provided.

If you need an electrician who is experienced, trustworthy, fast to respond, and genuinely cares about doing top-quality work, I highly recommend Chris. It’s not easy to find someone this reliable and knowledgeable. I would gladly hire him again and recommend him to anyone.

We first met Chris at the Florida State fair 10 years ago. At that time he was with another company. Most companies at the fair were pushing the idea of giving quotes on the spot based upon looking at satellite photos. He said there was no need to come out to the house.. This struck me as somewhat strange and impersonal. We spoke with Chris for some time, And were very impressed. We invited Chris to our Home, and decided to sign with his company. Our solar system was installed, and it took a couple of days to do so. Fast-forward 10 years. We experienced a connectivity problem, and were faced with the possibility of a rather large expense. Shortly before this happened, I had reconnected with Chris, and gave him a call about this problem. Chris gave us some wise counsel, and sent out a person to help solve our problem the next day. We were given a very reasonable rate for the repair. I spent some time talking with the technician who did the work. He mentioned how many companies these days do a job in one day that really requires two days to do properly. I felt this was a very insightful commentary on the quality of work performed by CKR Solar. I appreciate Chris attending to our needs in a special way, even when he was not obligated to do so. I can Unreservedly recommend Chris and his associates.

I don’t do reviews very often, but after getting 3 solar bids from different solar installers, we picked CKR Solar based on their deep Solar knowledge and their extensive work portfolio. We are extremely glad we did. The Tesla Powerwall 3 Battery with the Span Breaker Box has made this entire Solar Power System easy to configure, or even reconfigure if needed, through an easy to use Span APP from your phone, pad or computer, at home or from away. After that, it’s really hands free automation that performs. The total engineering package was spot on for our needs. The installation was seamlessly and professionally accomplished. Organization and execution of the very complex project actually was pretty amazing to watch. The best part, after everything was wired, the moment it was switched on, it worked. The entire system, Solar Panels, Tesla Powerwall 3 and Span Breaker Box have been flawless. It all results from the high standards and attention to detail that Chris, the owner of CKR and his crew maintain that impresses, right down to the quality of solar panel roof mounts, and flashing to prevent any water intrusion. Above and beyond that especially, is his personal follow-up and assistance, not commonly found anywhere from companies these days. We do now enjoy the security of interruption free electrical power 24/7 and I really can’t say enough about Chris and CKR. There are so many positive aspects to having a Solar System, it’s not just limited to the significant savings it produces compared to ever increasing electric utility rates. And contrary to popular belief, Solar Panels fill our batteries and provide power to our home even on cloudy days. Call Chris at CKR for clear no nonsense Solar Power advise, engineering and an impressive installation. He will not disappoint.

We had an outstanding experience with CKR Solar from start to finish. Their team was knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. They took the time to explain everything clearly and designed a system that perfectly fits our needs, including two Tesla Powerwall 3 batteries and a SPAN smart electrical panel. The SPAN panel has been a game changer—it makes it incredibly easy to monitor our power usage in real time and even allows us to turn off specific circuits while we’re away to help preserve our battery power when needed. The installation was smooth, efficient, and the quality of work was top-notch.

We were so impressed that our neighbors decided to go with CKR Solar as well after seeing the results on our home. If there were a 10-star rating, they would absolutely have it from us. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend CKR Solar to anyone considering going solar!

I had a great experience working with CKR Solar on our warehouse project. They installed two solar arrays (25kW and 50kW), and the entire process from start to finish was handled professionally and efficiently.

Their team was knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to work with. They took the time to explain the system design, answered all my questions, and kept everything on schedule. The installation itself was clean and well-executed, and you can tell they take pride in their work.

Everything is running smoothly, and we’re already seeing the benefits. I’d highly recommend CKR Solar to anyone considering a commercial solar project.

My wife and I decided to go solar this past spring. I did a little research and started the process of talking to solar companies. I received bids from four. Chris from CKR Solar was the only one who listened to what I wanted and designed a system for me. It was an easy decision, I went with CKR. I have been very happy with the results. If you are thinking solar, talk to CKR before you decide.

We had CKR Solar install two Sol-Ark 15k inverters behind a 19kW ground-mount panel system plus 58 kWh of HomeGrid battery storage. All Integrated with a 27kVA generator and grid tie. After a slow start CKR bent over backward to get everything installed cleanly. It works exactly as expected. Chris and his crew are experienced, serious, and professional. Despite unforeseen complications, CKR stuck to their bid and did it right. We were very pleased with the way it all turned out. It is a fairly complicated system powering a farm with 400 Amp utility service. In order of priority the system uses panel power, battery, grid, then generator. Our utility is not very solar-friendly so I never expected the system to pay for itself, but our utility power consumption is down 84% year-over-year. Without any attempts to minimize usage we sometimes get all the way through the night without drawing any grid power. More typically we draw a little grid power from the early morning hours to just past dawn. In the event of total utility failure (hurricane, EMP, or apocalypse) we should be able to shut off non-essential loads and run refrigeration, well pump, washing machine, lights, fans, etc. indefinitely.

CKR Solar truly came to our rescue! We had an unexpected electrical emergency on a Saturday afternoon, and although Chris couldn’t come in person due to the distance, he generously took the time to help us over the phone. Thanks to his guidance, we were able to identify the issue—something we never would have figured out on our own. His professionalism, honesty, and willingness to help even on a weekend were outstanding. He specializes in Span systems and clearly knows his stuff. I don’t write reviews often, but this kind of service deserves to be recognized. If you’re in the Tampa area and need a reliable, knowledgeable electrician, CKR Solar is who I’d call.

CKR Solar is one Amazing Solar Company! They set the standard for the Solar industry. Chris Rollitt is one of the kindest, honest and most helpful individual not to mention his knowledge and integrity. I have used Chris to “fix” my Solar which we had done prior to meeting Chris. They’re both beyond happy.

This solar company is the most honest solar company you will find. Their tech came out several times and guided us through the entire solar install process and answered all of our crazy questions. His patience was much appreciated. There are a lot of solar scammers out there but CKR solar is not one of them. If you are considering going solar call these guys first. Being informed is key. My representative was Iain King. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He laid out the pros and cons without pressure. Once we decided for sure to go solar, CKR was our unanimous choice largely due to how he had impressed us. The installation was quick and painless. The installers were very courteous and friendly as well. We were up and running right on schedule. My only regret is that we had not done it sooner. If you are even thinking about solar energy, you owe it to yourself to give CKR Solar a call. You will be pleased with the information and the results.

**Excellent Experience with Joe Ward & the CKR Team**

We recently had the pleasure of working with Joe Ward and the CKR team for the installation of a solar system, including solar panels, a Tesla Powerwall 3 battery storage, and a SPAN smart panel. From start to finish, Joe was exceptional in explaining the benefits of each component and how they would work together to enhance our home's energy efficiency.

Joe took the time to thoroughly explain the entire installation process to my wife and I, ensuring we were comfortable and informed during every step. The installation team—Dylan, Jeremiah, RJ, Alex, and Braxton—were outstanding. They were not only knowledgeable but also attentive to our questions and requests. Every detail was addressed with care, and the team made sure to leave the work area spotless once the job was completed.

Joe also provided us with a comprehensive walkthrough of the apps that came with our system, making sure we knew how to monitor and manage our energy usage effectively. More importantly, Joe didn't just disappear after the sale; he made follow-up calls and visits to ensure that we were completely satisfied with our solar system.

In short, Joe Ward and the CKR team delivered a top-notch experience, from the initial consultation to the follow-up after installation. We highly recommend them to anyone considering solar energy for their home.

Thank you Joe, and the CKR team!

What made us 'go solar'? It's simple. We met Joe Ward ... the nicest guy you'll ever meet. He didn't come across as a salesman at all ... that's a plus for us! We had an opportunity to chat more with Joe. Again, in his gentle, no pressure demeanor he barely mentioned solar. It was then I asked him a simple question, "Why should we consider solar?" His answer was simple, "Stop the bleeding." And, that was that. Joe offered to review our power bills from the last year to see if solar was even a good fit for us. He felt confident we could have solar for less than we're paying now for power. True to his word he texted me and offered to come to our home and lay it out for us.

Joe was with us for the whole process - from start to finish. Always available by phone or text - questions were quickly answered. Our installers commented how Joe is very available to customers and they often found him on the jobsite, often working side by side with them.

It is rare to find a salesman who is so hands on, but Joe certainly is one who cares about his customers.

I’d be lax if I didn’t give kudos to our lead installer, Dylan, who was meticulous and diligent in his work. Rarely do contractors impress my husband, but Dylan did!

If you opt to ‘go solar’ I can certainly recommend Joe and all the installers.

CKR Solar’s customer service is top-notch … I can confidently recommend them.
